25% of teenagers would buy an iPhone
Monday, April 23rd, 2007Two interesting iPhone related surveys just came out…
A survey run by Piper Jaffray found that not only was there a big desire to purchase an iPhone amongst teenagers, 25% indicated that they would purchase one at the standard $500 retail price.
Harris Interactive surveyed 1,116 adults aged 18-years or more across the US in mid-February, and its findings confirm that a full 17% of adults in US are very interested in getting an Apple iPhone.
The most amazing statistic is that about 10% of those are planning on getting one as soon as the product is formally released.
Lost Satellite Phone is it an iPhone?
Friday, April 20th, 2007
There has been tons of speculation that the satellite phone on Lost is an iPhone. Even though the one displayed in Lost was a bit bulky people thought that it might somehow be an iPhone in disguise. I found this screen capture that I think should convince everybody that it is not an iPhone.
It does however have an iPhone like interface. I would not be surprised if it was modeled after the iPhone… but as it is now… it not an iPhone.
Rumor Madonna has an iPhone
Friday, April 6th, 2007So, there is a rumor running around that Madonna has an iPhone. Take a look at the pictures that I have uploaded that supposedly confirms that Madonna is using an iPhone. I do not see the full chrome body that has previously been displayed. If you look close you can see the black faceplate of a 30Gig black iPod.
Even if the look of the iPod vs iPhone is this close, how is it that Madonna of all people are running around NYC with an iPhone?
It seems to me that somebody may have jumped the gun on this one and were either fishing for link-bait or just too eager… what do you think?
iPhone 2Mp Camera Details
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007So we all know that at Macworld Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone would ship with a 2Mp camera. But what are the specifics?
From what I gather from here and here. The iPhone that was demoed at Macworld has a refresh rate that is typical of current cell phone cameras but Steve Jobs says that the model that ships will have a significantly better refresh rate. Other details I gathered are:
- Micron 1/4″ CMOS Imager with a pixel size of 2.2µm x 2.2µm
- Largan 4 element Plastic Lens
iPhone Blogging Stats Compared to Treo and Blackberry
Monday, April 2nd, 2007In the wake of the news that Cingular has had 1 million inquires on the iPhone I decided to see how much the blogsphere is talking about the iPhone vs other popular existing smart phones.
I choose the Treo and the BlackBerry. Both of which are existing products with lots of happy consumers already using them, so you would think that there would be lots of ‘talk’ about them vs the iPhone.

Ahh but thats not the case!! Over the past two months the iPhone has consistently had more people talking about it than either the Treo or the BlackBerry.
Should lead to a very very exciting launch!
