Google Censors Ron Paul - The Numbers are in
Its finally confirmed that Google has a political bias and has been censoring results for Ron Paul. Using Google’s own numbers and comparing them against the same searches against Yahoo it is clear that Google is actively censoring search results for Ron Paul keywords.
Take a look at the data:
| Term | Google Results | Yahoo Results |
|---|---|---|
| Ron Paul Rocks | 652,000 | 7,850,000 |
| Ron Paul Sucks | 1,240,000 | 5,540,000 |
We even have photographic proof that Yahoo loves Ron Paul more that Google.

In summary Google things that Ron Paul suck 50% more often while Yahoo thinks that Ron Paul rocks 20% more often.
Come on Google we all thought you ‘Did No Evil’. How can you be censoring the most popular politician on the Interwebs?
Is this a conspiracy on the part of Google? Has Google joined the ranks of the Main Stream Media? Or is it simply that Yahoo provides ‘better’ search results when your interested in Ron Paul?

This is stupid. You could find similar results for almost anything sucking or rocking. You’re searching the collective internet for ron, paul, and sucks. For more accurate results try “ron paul sucks” or “ron paul rocks” with quotes. I think you’ll be quite surprised.

Google employees are quite big contributors to Paul’s campaign, including a number of $2300 maxed out contributions–I seem to recall seeing a chart showing Google employees being the single largest group of Paul contributors (for the previous quarter, I doubt it’s the case now). I don’t know that this invalidates your assertion, but I’m doubtful of it anyway–I’m a nerd living in Mountain View, and I know several people that work at Google, including some folks who would likely have to be involved in such censorship, if it were happening, and most are Ron Paul supporters. I can’t imagine they’d take part in such a thing. I also know the folks who were involved in bringing Paul to Google to speak…while one of them is a Romney fan, and doesn’t like Paul (and his views clouded his planning of the event so it was held in a room too small for the crowd it generated), I can say with some confidence that he wouldn’t condone censorship and he’s not in a position to implement such censorship, anyway.
So, while Google seems to have more Obama fans than any other candidate, I think you’re reaching here. Google is not a traditional media company…and search results are pretty much holy to Googlers. They don’t historically tamper with them for political reasons.

I am actually a Ron Paul supporter, but I can not let sloppy methodology pass. There are a couple things to note about this “search test”. If you are searching for a phrase on either Google or Yahoo it is common practice to enclose the search string in quotation marks. This can remarkably change the results. I am not going to take the time to do screen grabs, you can all repeat the test for yourselves, but here are the revised results from my “phrase search” test:
“ron paul sucks”
Yahoo — 60,900
Google — 713
“ron paul rocks”
Yahoo — 16,700
Google — 26,900
